Overview About us Part of Morris Escapes, a curated portfolio of boutique sustainable lodges and experiences that showcase Far North Queensland's REEF - OUTBACK - HINTERLAND. Orpheus is an all-inclusive, private island lodge with 14 rooms, suites and villas across 11km of turquoise coastline, and part of Luxury Lodges of Australia. We are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our team, through until the end of January 2026. Role requirements Excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles. A supportive and strong team member. Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure. Ability to cater for dietaries without compromising on enjoyment. Reliable and flexible attitude. A natural communicator who finds it easy to chat to guests & other staff. Skills & requirements Minimum two years experience within a similar standard of kitchen Experience in luxury lodges or retreats is essential Excellent technical knowledge and experience in all cooking techniques and styles Experience in daily changing menus is favourable Ability to work autonomously Supportive and strong team player Exceptional time management and organisational skills Flexible approach Responsibilities Ensure consistency and highest quality in taste, presentation and appropriate food for guests at luxury lodge Preparation of hot and cold food, including breakfast, lunch and dinner service Working cohesively and productively with all other departments of the business Why should you join us?
