The Role Eastern Goldfields College is seeking a motivated and effective leader to join the college’s Leadership Team in the role of Follow the Dream Coordinator. In this role, the successful applicant would play an important part in providing strategic leadership and fostering a positive school culture. The position involves coordinating all aspects of the Follow the Dream program and supporting its integration into the daily operations of the college. The successful applicant is encouraged to provide educational leadership that builds capacity within the school and community by implementing and promoting the Follow the Dream program. They are invited to support students, school staff, volunteers, and community members in sharing ownership of the program’s vision and goals. Collaboration with school leaders and teaching staff will be important in developing and implementing targeted programs, plans, and whole‑school approaches aimed at improving student achievement, in line with the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework. The role involves using effective change strategies to help facilitate acceptance and development of opportunities that enhance student educational outcomes. Managing the operation of the program includes overseeing financial resources, monitoring implementation, and developing improvement strategies based on quality data and contextual information. The successful applicant should foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially Aboriginal families, communities, and industry groups, to ensure effective program delivery and support for students’ academic and career pathways. Professional Benefits Attractive Country Teaching Program Allowance of $8 020 per year District Allowance of $2 354 a year Temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $3 000 see info below 12 percent employer contributions to superannuation 12 weeks’ vacation leave (school holidays) Subsidised accommodation where applicable Free relocation Travel concessions Teachers and School Administrators employed at Eastern Goldfields College in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $3 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. Demonstrated highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to conduct research, prepare reports and establish effective working relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve planned outcomes.
