Your Next Job Join us immediately at Buller Ski lifts as a HR Advisor, on a Full-Time, 12 Month- Fixed Term Contract in a dynamic, seasonal environment where your work directly shapes the employee experience. You’ll provide end‑to‑end generalist HR support across the lifecycle—while driving Training & Development and Employee Relations outcomes that lift capability, strengthen compliance, and help teams thrive. This position can be based out of our Melbourne, Mansfield or Mt Buller Offices during the summer period but expect regular travel and stays on Mt Buller during the peak onboarding period and throughout the contract in high and low seasons. If looking to relocate for 12 months, heavily subsidised accommodation will be provided. Expect variety , real ownership , and the chance to work closely with leaders across operations, hospitality, risk, systems and payroll. It’s a role with genuine scope, clear outcomes, and the support to build momentum fast. What You’ll Be Doing People Operations & Generalist Support Coordinate onboarding and offboarding training and core HR onboarding activities Keep position descriptions current and policies practical, clear and compliant. Partner with managers to set expectations, build trust, and streamline people processes. Training & Capability Design and deliver engaging training (online, internal and external) for seasonal and permanent staff. Own pre‑winter online induction and compliance readiness, ensuring content is ready before early May and completions are tracked and reported. Maintain accurate credential registers, monitor expiries, coordinate renewals, and report compliance. Employee Relations & Wellbeing Handle complaints, disputes and investigations with procedural fairness and confidentiality. Coach leaders through performance management—appraisals, conduct notes, and development plans. Provide clear, practical advisory on awards, contracts and legislative updates. Collaborate on safety and wellbeing initiatives (e.g., bushfire preparedness, contact officer program, MHFA). Contribute to succession planning and capability roadmaps across departments. Produce simple cheat sheets, FAQs and guides that make complex IR/ER topics easy to apply. What You’ll Bring Experience Minimum 2–3 years in a generalist HR role , with some exposure to ER matters and training facilitation. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in HR or related business discipline (Cert IV Training & Assessment desirable). Strengths Confident communicator—comfortable presenting and navigating difficult conversations. Able to interpret industrial instruments and legislation into practical, team‑friendly advice. Stakeholder savvy, organised and resourceful, with strong time management and follow‑through. Attributes Hands‑on, approachable, fair and transparent; culturally aware with high EQ and integrity.
