OverviewA leading not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to help drive critical infrastructure initiatives that underpin its mission-driven services.This role will focus on decommissioning legacy server and cloud-based VDI environments, enhancing automation through PowerShell scripting, and managing Group Policy. Key Responsibilities Lead the decommissioning of server and cloud-based VDI and VMware environments Develop and implement automation using PowerShell to streamline infrastructure tasks Manage and maintain Group Policy to align with compliance and operational standards Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless infrastructure transitions Provide hands‑on support and technical mentoring to uplift team capability Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer (5+ years) Expertise in VMware, cloud-based VDI, and server decommissioning Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation Strong knowledge of Group Policy management Experience with stakeholder engagement and technical mentoring Experience in not‑for‑profit, education, or service‑based sectors Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and security frameworks Collaborative mindset and coaching ability Job Details Contract : 6 monthsLocation : Sydney (Hybrid)Start Date : ASAPSeniority level : Mid‑Senior levelEmployment type : ContractJob function : Information Technology and FinanceIndustries : Business Consulting and Services, Banking, and Information Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
