Hillarys Marina Lifting Services is situated in the northern suburbs of Perth and is owned and run by the Hillarys Yacht Club. With the Indian Ocean on our doorstep, our Marina footprint consists of 5 Jetties with 272 pens. The Hillarys Marina Lifting Service (HMLS) provides a wide scope of works to our members and our local boating community. We provide services to Members to have their boats cleaned, serviced and maintained in a professional manner in a lifting yard with excellent facilities, staff and access to specialised contracted services. The Role HMLS is seeking a mature and reliable Forklift Operator to assist with HMLS day to day operations. This position reports to the Operations Manager and will receive “hands on” support, training and experience to build their skills and knowledge. This is a Casual role, working weekends from 7.30am to 4.30pm, including public holidays. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Operation of Forklift to lift and move boats up to 28 feet long. Oversee yard operations, including unlocking and lockup. Operating other equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all safety protocols and regulations. Communicate effectively with staff, members and the public to ensure smooth operations. Assisting with yard duties when required, including general yard cleaning and maintenance. Qualifications & Experience A forklift license is desirable, however training can be provided. Able to work independently but also as part of a small, integrated and dynamic team. Experience working in a yard/outdoor business operation would be beneficial. Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to follow instructions is essential. Must be punctual and reliable. Own transport is essential. Shows initiative and ability to be flexible. Ability to crawl, kneel, crouch, climb and bend around and under boats. An attractive remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
