St Vincent de Paul Society Northern Territory is a highly-regarded charitable organisation with strong retail and community service operations all over the Northern Territory The Role The Caseworker undertakes client‑focused case work with companions in our Community Housing Service. The Caseworker works with companions using a strength‑based approach to develop a case management plan to address specific client needs, including developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the plan. The Caseworker – Darwin role will work primarily with companions residing within our Bakhita Centre and Park Lodge facilities. Selection Criteria Relevant qualifications in Social Work and/or case‑management experience, working with persons affected by homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance abuse Strong relationship‑building skills, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn Effective written, oral communication and interpersonal skills, including effectively communicating with stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds and groups Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to work independently Ability to maintain confidentiality of information at all times Demonstrated genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination certificate (3 doses) Ability to work within the philosophy of the Society and in accordance with policy and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society To apply, please submit your resume via SEEK today You will be required to complete a police check should you be successful in being appointed to our organisation.
