About the Role As a Kitchen Steward at QT Canberra, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our culinary team and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency in the kitchen. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you’ll be hands-on in a fast-paced environment—taking on a variety of cleaning duties, assisting with kitchen prep, and ensuring WH&S standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities Support daily kitchen operations by completing tasks assigned by the Executive Chef in a timely and efficient manner Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety and OH&S standards Participate in all training sessions to develop skills and grow within the culinary team Minimise waste through careful handling of food and resources Foster positive working relationships with kitchen and service team members Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and grooming standards while maintaining a professional appearance Skills & Experience Experience working as a kitchen steward in a fast-paced hotel, pub, restaurant or café. A good attitude, communication and happy to support the kitchen with a variety of duties. Flexible with hours and adaptable to working in different areas of the hotel when required. This is a manual role which will require lifting, standing and cleaning.
