We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Specialist to join our Supply Chain team on a one year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager. About the Role Execute sourcing and purchasing activities for mechanical components within assigned categories. Implement annual category strategies to ensure reliable supply, quality, and commercial performance, including supplier allocation, development initiatives, review schedules, and cost‑saving targets. Coordinate with Engineering and NPD teams to ensure suppliers meet technical, timing, and quality requirements, aligning new product development with commercial and lifecycle objectives. Manage sampling, run‑in, and run‑out processes for NPD and product changes. Oversee day‑to‑day supplier communications, including pricing updates, purchase order follow‑up, and delivery tracking. Prepare cost analyses, quotations, and supplier performance reports to support informed decision‑making. Manage End‑of‑Life (EOL) and Last Time Buy requirements to ensure business continuity. Support inventory management by monitoring material availability, reducing slow‑moving and obsolete stock, and maintaining accurate parts categorisation. Assist Planning in resolving supply imbalances and expediting materials to prevent shortages. About You Years of practical industry experience in role. 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
