Job Highlights Shape global OpRes strategy across multiple jurisdictions Influence board & executive leaders to drive resilience Lead assurance, testing & documentation of regulatory frameworks Sydney CBD Permanent Opportunity Financial Services (Funds, Investment, Wealth, Asset, Prop Trading) About the role We are on the search for a hands‑on and influential Operational Resilience Manager to design, implement and enhance the firm’s global Operational Resilience (OpRes) framework, with a focus on assurance, regulatory compliance (DORA, MAS, CBI, APRA) and board‑level reporting. This role is not 100% Business Continuity‑focused; it’s about embedding resilience at an enterprise level, influencing global leaders and ensuring the business can respond to and recover from disruptive events. You will act as the trusted delegate for the board, ensuring compliance, readiness and strategic alignment across all jurisdictions. Typical day Framework Ownership: Design, refine and embed the Operational Resilience and Crisis Management frameworks, aligning with global regulatory requirements (DORA, MAS, CBI, APRA) Assurance & Testing: Lead documentation, testing and assurance activities, ensuring resilience strategies are validated through scenario testing and regulatory exercises Stakeholder Influence: Build strong relationships with senior executives, risk leaders and regulators, influencing decisions and driving resilience outcomes across the organisation Governance & Reporting: Develop executive and board‑level reporting, highlighting resilience metrics, risk exposures and remediation status. Crisis Management: Support and coordinate crisis response and incident management, ensuring structured communication and post‑event analysis Regulatory Alignment: Keep abreast of global operational resilience regulations, ensuring frameworks remain compliant and future‑ready Digital & Third‑Party Resilience: Support initiatives around IT and cyber resilience, ensuring third parties meet resilience standards Continuous Improvement: Challenge current practices, streamline processes and drive maturity across documentation, testing and governance About you 5+ years’ experience in Operational Resilience, Technology Risk or Enterprise Risk within Financial Services Strong understanding of DORA, MAS, CBI and APRA regulatory frameworks and their operational implications Demonstrated ability to influence at senior and board level, translating resilience concepts into actionable outcomes Skilled in documentation, assurance and regulatory reporting, with strong attention to detail. Proven experience delivering resilience testing programmes, crisis simulations and post‑incident reviews.
