About the role RSPCA Victoria is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Op Shop Volunteer Program Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, 4 days a week. This is a 12-month contract, with the likely possibility of extension. In this critical role, you'll be the driving force behind our volunteer recruitment strategy, ensuring our Op Shops across Victoria are staffed with dedicated and compassionate individuals. You'll play a vital role in attracting new volunteers, keeping our current volunteers engaged, and ultimately, helping us raise crucial funds for animal welfare. Here's what you'll do Develop & Implement Recruitment & Retention Strategies: Partner with the Op Shop Network team to ensure the op shop expansion program is fully supported by providing effective recruitment and retention strategies to attract, onboard and retain volunteers for all stores. Lead Recruitment Process: Coordinate all aspects of op shop volunteer recruitment across Victoria, from advertising, shortlisting and facilitating pre-volunteering checks. Measure & Adapt: Analyse recruitment campaigns and implement creative solutions to attract new volunteers. Visit Op Shops – to assist store managers with volunteer interviews and onboarding processes, to conduct training and assist with managing volunteer related issues as required. Reporting - Preparation of reports including each op shop’s volunteer headcount, recruitment and turnover figures and contribute content for the volunteer monthly e-newsletter. Volunteer Advocate: Be an enthusiastic advocate for RSPCA Victoria volunteer opportunities, potentially speaking publicly about the program. Diversity Champion: Promote equal opportunity and inclusivity in all aspects of volunteer recruitment. We're looking for someone with Previous experience in a similar employee or volunteer recruitment role that requires strong administration, organisational and problem solving skills. High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint). An ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment. Strong attention to detail and accountability for meeting deadlines. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment. Experience working in a volunteer and/or community sector organisation is desirable. Recruitment Requirements Willingness to undergo a National Police Check Willing to obtain an Employee Working with Children’s Check Valid and current driver’s license and willingness to travel across Victoria – including Melbourne Eastern, Southern and Bayside suburbs as well as Traralgon and Mildura.
