YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE Radiation Therapist Grade 3 – Bendigo Campus Employment Type: Fixed Term, Full-Time (76 hours per fortnight) Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre’s Bendigo campus is the only regional Victorian centre providing radiation therapy services to the Loddon Mallee region. We are seeking a skilled Grade 3 Radiation Therapist to join our team in a dynamic and supportive environment. At Bendigo, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge technology, including Varian Truebeam Linacs, AlignRT, and Eclipse treatment planning system , and contribute to a diverse patient caseload, including SABR and SRS treatments. Apply high-level technical skills to clinical challenges and provide education and support to colleagues on advanced radiation therapy practices. Support and deputise for the Radiation Therapist in Charge of a department unit. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of general and advanced radiation therapy principles and practice. Apply radiation therapy principles to a range of general and advanced techniques in treatment and planning. Apply critical and reflective thinking to resolve complex radiation therapy clinical challenges. Apply understanding of anatomy, physiology and pathology to clinical activities. Apply principles of medical radiation physics and instrumentation. Use patient information management systems appropriately. Assess the patient's capacity to receive care. Formulate, document and implement an effective and tailored patient management plan for complex situations. Recognise when input is required from more senior colleagues, and act to obtain their involvement. Prioritise workload appropriately, and establish realistic timeframes for the completion of work. Adjust planned activities of the work team by gathering relevant information and applying critical thinking to address multiple and changing demands in the work environment. Suggest improvements to workflow and processes that may improve the use of resources and boost productivity.
