About The Role Due to the continuous growth of the college, Newman Catholic College Smithfield is seeking a number of experienced and dedicated Secondary Teachers to join their school teaching in a range of Key Subjects for the 2026 school year. These roles are Full Time, Permanent positions for 2026. Key Subject Areas Mathematics (with an ability to teach Senior Mathematics an advantage) English (an ability to teach Senior English) Humanities (an ability to teach Senior History) Religious Education (an ability to teach Senior Religious Education) Science Design and Technology Food Technology Visual Art Requirements Knowledge of, and a commitment to, the Catholic ethos and vision of the school, including the liturgical life of the college Ability to work as a member of a professional team of teachers, dedicated to providing quality education in partnership with the families, parish, university, and wider community Ability to collaborate and work positively as a part of a professional teaching team Understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate learning meeting the needs of a diverse range of students Willingness to change and develop instructional strategies to increase student growth and achievement Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the College Principal.
