The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, enjoy working in a team environment, have fantastic people skills, a solid work ethic, and take great pride in their work. In return, we will provide the training and support in your new career as a dental assistant as part of our team. WE LOVE EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES AND WE WILL TRAIN YOU IF YOU’RE NOT. What is required are essential attributes which include: Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and grow with the practice. Exceptional people relation skills. Ability to maintain an outgoing, friendly attitude with patients and staff under pressure. Ability to write clearly, concisely, logically, and legibly. Ability to complete tasks within the time frame. Physical requirements: Should be in good physical condition and able to withstand the stress and demands of an active position. Must be able to perform many hours standing, walking, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, good eye‑hand coordination, and adequate vision and hearing are needed in daily work. As a dental assistant, here is some of what you’ll be doing… Assisting the dentist in carrying out procedures and delivery of patient care. Help patients with post‑treatment care. Completing clinical notes as required. General stock control responsibilities. Processing instruments to Infection Control Standards. Helping out reception when required (answering phones, making appointments, taking payments, etc.) Please note: This role may include some training at our Launceston practice.
