About the role Based out of our Sydney office, the Account Executive will be responsible for selling Seer Communities solutions to our not‑for‑profit, community, place‑based, First Nations and other grassroots markets. As an industry specialist and a member of Seer Data’s sales team you will not only close deals, but help customers take a lead in their transformation journey, supported by Seer Data’s category leadership and deep industry expertise. Working closely with the CEO, Strategic Accounts & Partnerships Director and Operations Lead, the Account Executive will be pivotal in introducing, nurturing and closing Seer Communities solutions that will help our not‑for‑profit, community, place‑based, First Nations and other grassroots customers achieve their data goals. The successful applicant for this position will be required to work from our Sydney CBD office in a hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities Attain quarterly and annual revenue target s Pipeline development through a combination of phone calls, social & email campaigns and market sector knowledge/intelligence Qualify and convert leads into opportunities through strategic engagement and solution alignment Lead vision alignment/discovery meetings Develop mutually beneficial professional relationships with C‑suite and other key decision makers and influencers in not‑for‑profit, community, place‑based, First Nations and other grassroots organisations Lead demonstrations of the Seer Communities platform Build interest in our solutions through strategic value‑based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, customer storytelling and competitive intelligence Write sales proposals that convey the value of our solutions to the prospect Conduct and close negotiations to secure sales that represent good business within current sales framework Involve internal resources as needed to address prospect’s needs and business problems Run new customer onboarding and lead the handover of closed opportunities to Customer Success and our Delivery team Capture all relevant information in HubSpot Follow defined processes and timelines, providing feedback on improvement Maintain Seer Communities product proficiency to effectively explain the value of the platform and solutions and how they differ from competitors Grow and leverage your knowledge of our ideal prospects’ organisations, programmes and industries, as well as Seer Communities solutions Complete and maintain all required Seer Data prescribed training modules/courses. Required skills and traits You are passionate, ambitious and driven by high performance standards Ability to lead and manage the end‑to‑end sales process Ability to quickly develop a deep knowledge of customer’s organisation and discuss issues from multiple angles – driven by genuine curiosity Adept at driving two‑way communication by clearly articulating value proposition and teaching to customer’s pain points – leading by providing customers with new insights Ability to offer unique perspective by reframing and challenging the way customers view their organisation; know how to structure a sales pitch to highlight customer benefits and public benefits before the strengths of the solution Ability to communicate on C‑level Understanding of complex decision‑making process and how to influence key decision makers Driven by genuine curiosity and passion about data, community and social issues Proactive in attacking and meeting sales targets You are organised and able to effectively prioritise daily, weekly and monthly tasks/goal setting Highly developed sense of accountability You have a team‑first approach Engaging/inclusive influencer High energy/activity levels Active listener and trainable; able to learn quickly from teammates Clear communicator who keeps teammates appropriately informed on what they need to know Ability to follow processes but be creative in the parameters set Commitment to data collection, cleanliness and reportability Required qualifications and experience 2 years closing experience in Saas, including live demonstrations of Saas platforms Proven success hitting revenue & activity targets Strong territory planning, pipeline and account management experience Experience drafting and winning requests for tender/proposal Equal opportunity Seer Data is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
