About The Role We’re looking for passionate sessional lecturers to join our teaching team for Trimester 1, 2026. Flexible class times are available in the morning, afternoon, online, and evening—our priority currently is evening classes, though openings are also available for other times. The delivery campus is in the busy Haymarket area, close to central station. Reporting to the Head of School, you will provide engaging learning experiences through teaching and assessing students. About You Dynamic, passionate about teaching with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of facilitating both face‑to‑face and online learning, and working well in a team within a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver the course and facilitate learning via on‑campus and digital methodologies. Facilitate student engagement and consultation, communicating student issues to the Head of Faculty. Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery. Engage in weekly subject forums and discussions. Mark student assessments within required standards and timeframes. Participate in moderation and benchmarking activities as required. Attend faculty meetings and student consultations as required. Engage in scholarly practice as required. Education, Experience, And Skills A PhD or a master’s qualification in Early Childhood Education. Minimum two years (preferably five or more) of practicing experience in a related field. Teaching or tutoring experience desirable. Knowledge of higher education requirements, industry standards, and contemporary developments in the discipline. Active engagement in continuing professional development, scholarship, research, or knowledge of contemporary teaching and assessment relevant to the role. Passion for education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to undergo a National Crime Check if required. Why work with Ikon?
