Chef De Partie - Aged Care/Retirement at Cater Care Salary: $78,580.00 – $78,580.00 Job Type: Permanent – Full Time Location: NSW: Northern NSW (Byron Bay, Tweed Heads) Job Description We are focused on attracting people with the right attitude and personality, who have spark, care for each other and enjoy working in a team environment. Somebody who knows how to cook traditional Australian cuisine. Responsibilities Food preparation: Prepare, cook, and present dishes for their section according to the chef's standards and recipes. Quality control: Ensure all food is prepared to a high standard, maintaining consistency in portion size and presentation. Hygiene and safety: Adhere to and enforce all health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Inventory and stock: Keep track of inventory for their station, prepare ingredients, and manage stock rotation. Supervision: Train and supervise junior cooks or kitchen hands on their station. Assisting senior staff: Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily operations and other assigned duties. Station management: Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as fish, meat, vegetables, or desserts. Roster Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Desired Skills And Experience Culinary expertise: A strong foundation in cooking techniques and culinary skills. Pressure management: Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment. Leadership: Skill in managing and motivating a team. Time management: Efficiently organise and manage their time and station. Communication: Clearly communicate with other chefs and kitchen staff.
