Multiple Service Technician Positions - Workshop & Field (Automotive) Our client based in Marsden Park is a leading provider of municipal vehicles and equipment, including refuse collection vehicles, sweepers, vacuum machines, and static compactors. We are currently seeking Permanent Full-Time Service Technicians to join our workforce. These roles offer a mix of workshop and field-based work, including servicing, maintenance, and breakdown support on a range of municipal vehicles and equipment. We are looking for 2x Workshop Service Technician positions and 2x Field Service Technician positions. Shift Timings & Salary Pay Rate: $44/hr + Super Salary on Offer: $85,000 – $90,000 + Super Shift Times: Monday to Thursday – 9:00am to 5:30pm Friday – 11:00am to 5:30pm Field Service Technicians will participate in a rotating on-call roster for after-hours support, and company vehicles are provided. What You'll Be Doing Service and maintain vehicles, sweepers, vacuum machines, and static compaction equipment at customer sites and in the workshop. Attend equipment breakdowns and diagnose/repair faults efficiently. Provide timely updates and support to customers regarding service progress. Complete accurate and timely administrative records of work undertaken. Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members or apprentices. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment. Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to minimize equipment downtime. Collaborate with the Parts and Supply team to ensure availability of replacement components. Identify and report recurring faults or systemic issues to improve service efficiency and product reliability. Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades as required. What We're Looking For Relevant trade qualification (Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Mechanical Fitter, etc.). Experience with heavy vehicles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Advanced welding skills (MIG, TIG, Stick) a plus. Strong fault diagnosis skills and ability to work independently in field and workshop settings. Experience with diesel engines and light vehicle maintenance. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Current Driver’s License and ability to drive company vehicles for site visits.
