NDIS Finance Officer – Position Overview PART TIME or FULL-TIME available for the right person We are seeking 2 x experienced NDIS Finance Officer to oversee invoicing, reconciliation, reporting, and financial accuracy within our organisation. This role is critical to maintaining timely, compliant billing processes and will work closely with Sunshine’s Bookkeeper, Director, Operations Manager, and external Accountants. Key Responsibilities Generate, prepare, and submit invoices using ShiftCare , Astalty , and Xero . Submit invoices to Plan Managers and through MyPlace for NDIA-managed participants. Promptly follow up on outstanding invoices and overdue payments. Maintain accurate financial, participant, and billing records. Work collaboratively with the Bookkeeper to ensure smooth financial workflows and reporting. Work closely with all the heads of department to ensure preventable billing errors. Provide the Director with fortnightly, monthly, and annual financial reports , including invoice activity, outstanding payments, revenue tracking, and reconciliation updates. Communicate professionally with internal staff, Plan Managers, and NDIS representatives. Maintain a general understanding of client needs, NDIS systems and processes , and the different NDIS shift types to ensure accurate billing. Closely monitor and respond to emails. Requirements Proficiency with PRODA Strong understanding of the MyPlace portal Experience using Xero , ShiftCare , and Astalty Demonstrated experience in NDIS billing, invoicing, and reconciliation Skills & Attributes General knowledge of clients and understanding of NDIS processes, pricing, codes, and shift structures. High attention to detail and strong time-management skills. Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
