Join Our Team as a QA Engineer – Jamisontown, Sydney GPC Electronics is Australia's leading contract electronics manufacturer, with facilities in New Zealand and China. We're proud to employ around 500 people who are passionate about delivering quality and value to our customers. We're looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Jamisontown. In this role, you'll support our Chief Compliance Officer in maintaining and improving our certified quality management systems. You'll also work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure our products meet the highest standards. This is a hands‑on role that involves collaborating across teams to drive continuous improvement and deliver products that exceed expectations. Responsibilities Developing and maintaining quality management systems, including procedures, quality plans, and work instructions Ensuring compliance with accredited Quality Management Systems and driving continuous improvement Investigating and resolving non‑conformances, customer complaints, and supplier issues using structured problem‑solving tools like 5WHY and 8D Acting as a point of contact for customers on quality‑related matters, including complaints and returns Participating in New Product Introduction (NPI) and supporting PPAP activities Assisting with PFMEA processes for both new and existing products Analysing quality metrics, warranty data, and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement Supporting the achievement of quality KPIs, goals, and initiatives Conducting supplier selection, qualification, evaluation, and audits Providing guidance and support to QC Inspectors across incoming, in‑process, and final inspection stages Performing internal and external audits Supporting external audits conducted by second and third parties Contributing to 5S and workplace organisation initiatives Supporting health and safety activities as part of the broader compliance framework Requirements and Skills Be an Australian citizen Be able to successfully complete pre‑employment screening, which may include background checks and other relevant assessments Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar quality‑focused role Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and measurements Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic assemblies (advantage) Additional certifications in auditing or Six Sigma (advantage) Ready to Apply?
