Southern Highlands Veterinary Centre, located in Moss Vale, NSW, is looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our supportive and passionate team. Our caseload is currently 60% small animal and 40% large animal, making for a varied and rewarding work environment. About the Role As the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and comforting experience. This role requires someone with exceptional communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a genuine passion for helping animals and their people — especially during challenging times. Coordinating a mix of small and large animal appointments, fielding client enquiries, and supporting our busy team will mean your days are fast-paced and fulfilling. Hours: Full-time position Includes 1 in 4 Saturdays (4-hour shift) What We’re Looking For Thrives on delivering outstanding customer service Is self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic Presents professionally with a warm and approachable manner Is open to learning and growing in the role Experience in the veterinary or animal fields is desirable Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment Works well both independently and collaboratively Demonstrates common sense, initiative, and reliability Maintains confidentiality and professionalism Is confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Skills and Attributes Outstanding attention to detail Deep empathy for the bond between animals and their people Strong time management and organisational abilities High levels of motivation, energy, and a positive attitude Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and focused under pressure Builds strong, trusting relationships with clients and team members Enjoys a workplace where hard work, flexibility and a bit of fun go hand-in-hand Why Join Us?
