About This Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Project Officer to support the delivery of complex digital health projects within the Queensland Digital Health Centre Project Management Office (PMO). Working closely with the Project Lead and PMO colleagues, you will coordinate and/or manage end-to-end project activities across the project lifecycle, with a particular focus on integrated electronic medical records (ieMR) initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with established governance frameworks, methodologies, and best-practice project management standards. Key responsibilities Coordinating and/or managing and delivering end-to-end project activities, including planning, monitoring, evaluation, risk and issue management, and post-project reporting. Developing and maintaining project documentation, reporting, and communication materials to support internal stakeholders, committees, and external regulatory requirements. Managing project budgets, timelines, dependencies and stakeholder engagement, while contributing to PMO consistency, continuous improvement, and best practice. Demonstrated experience managing projects of similar scale and complexity across the full project lifecycle. Current knowledge of best-practice project management methodologies and frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2). Proven ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing deadlines while anticipating risks and resolving issues. Strong financial and administrative capability, including experience supporting or managing project budgets. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience working within digital health, data, or research environments, including exposure to qualitative and/or quantitative research methods (desirable).
