Demonstrated commitment in the application of Primary Health Care Principles to community based midwifery practice with knowledge and understanding of the cultural and social challenges relating to Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities in rural/regional areas. Demonstrated ability to provide evidence based contemporary antenatal, postnatal care and parenting support within a multidisciplinary and interagency team. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Current C Class driver's licence. Position Profile:
The Clinical Midwife is responsible for providing a high level of community-based maternity care to achieve the optimum state of health for individuals, families and communities. Provides effective and efficient preventive and early intervention programs to individuals and groups focusing on the social determinants of health.
