About the Home - Mildrua A modern care home in the heart of the regional town of Mildura, Victoria. It is surrounded by lakes and the Murray River. It consists of 100 beds, with various care units. Use your fantastic food services and cleaning skills in a role where you really can make a difference by providing our residents with an empathetic and personal approach. This is a PPT role, and the shifts are 4pm-7.30pm, please only apply if you have availability within this time. No sponsorship available About you Previous catering / food service or cleaning experience preferred but not essential. You will be a team player and someone who enjoys interacting with people and giving back to our most vulnerable. Duties Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards Complete required documentation and reporting Respond to residents’ queries and requests Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas Skills and Experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week You will have an understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.
