Duration: 6 month Assignment Unitil June 2026 + Possibility of extension Location: Remote (Australia Wide) Role Title: Splunk Engineer Green Light Worldwide have a requirement with our client partner for Splunk Engineer join their team for Initial 6 Months Engagement + Possibility of Extension. You would be responsible to support security monitoring uplift by onboarding data sources, improving log formatting, deploying security detections, and documenting maturity across multiple platforms. This role requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with technical stakeholders, and drive tasks through to completion. Key Responsibilities Work 1-on-1 with TPOs to onboard and ingest data into Splunk using Forwarders, HEC, and other mechanisms Review and optimise log formatting in Splunk (Sourcetype adjustments, TA implementation, CIM compliance) Deploy security detections and coverage for platforms once logs reach the required standard Assess, mark up, and document SecMon maturity levels across environments Troubleshoot ingestion and parsing issues across large enterprise environments Collaborate with security and platform teams to improve monitoring uplift Mandatory Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) Experience working with Splunk SOAR Applied real-world experience using Splunk in an enterprise environment Ability to independently manage workload and drive tasks to completion Excellent technical communication and documentation skills Desirable Qualifications Splunk Architect certification (or advanced Splunk training) Experience with SIEM/SOAR implementation in large organisations Cybersecurity experience or formal security training Familiarity with security use cases, detections, and threat monitoring About Green Light Worldwide We are an Australian onshore services company that provides technology capability across ANZ and Asia.
