Producer / Presenter - Sunshine Coast Job no: Work type: Ongoing Full Time Location: Maroochydore - Sunshine Coast Categories: Journalism/Content Making, Production/Content Maroochydore location Base salary $88k - 94k Ongoing, full-time role Work alongside some of the ABC's most respected journalists The Role This is a key role where you will produce, occasionally present programs for ABC Sunshine Coast and create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences. The Job Provide in-studio production support and manage talk‑back callers and guests. Create content across a number of platforms including digital, video, social media, scripts, interviews and radio programs. Identify and deliver original regional stories to a local and national audience. Develop strong contacts and break stories. Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required. Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC. This role includes shift work. Position Description: About You To be a success in this role you will have strong program making and presentation skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross‑platform content for the target audience. You’ll have: You have a thorough understanding of cross‑platform content production. You’re savvy with social media and online content and know how to engage a diverse demographic. You have a track record of producing and/or presenting high quality contemporary radio. You’re passionate about local current affairs, social issues, business, technology and culture.
