Classic Meats Townsville supplies portion control and all processed meat requirements to our network of foodservice distribution facilities that supply to hotels, restaurants, clubs and institutions across Queensland. This role is fulltime, with the successful applicant(s) required to assist in the Processing room packing orders and to perform the clean down and sanitise at the end of the production day then set up for the next day. This is a physical position with some heavy lifting and an immediate start available working Monday to Friday. This role suits someone who wants to work hard, stay active and be part of a well-run operation – without being stuck behind a desk. About the role This role is all about getting customer orders ready quickly, accurately and with care. You’ll work in freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure deliveries go out on time, every time. Your day will include: Responsible for working as a team member to package, cryovac, label and weigh cuts of meat in an efficient and timely manner. Packaging cuts of meat or chicken as instructed with the maximum efficiency. Properly weighing, labelling and naming each package of meat or chicken as instructed. Assist with production as instructed. Skills and experience You’ll bring a solid work ethic, a practical mindset and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will also be: Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task Reliable and confident with numbers An understanding of the meat, butchery, foodservice sector, or an allied industry would be considered an advantage Prior experience in a cleaning, or janitorial role is highly desired Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously with good communication skills About Classic Meats Townsville Classic Meats is a specialty wholesale butcher dedicated to the foodservice industry, with production outlets in Adelaide, Perth and Townsville.
