Marketing and Events Assistant

Permanent Full-time position - 38 hours per week during the school term. Agreement Classification: Clerical and Administration Services Level 3 St Columba Anglican School Port Macquarie is a co educational ELC - 12 campus set on 37 picturesque acres in the heart of Port Macquarie's Education Precinct. The Marketing and Events Assistant provides marketing, communication, event coordination and administrative support to the Community Engagement & Events team. The position supports the team in promoting the school, strengthening the connections with families, and ensuring a smooth execution of key events throughout the year. Your warm and approachable manner along with your professionalism and discretion will be key to your success in this role. This is a full-time ongoing position, however, consideration will be given to applicants with the requisite knowledge and experience for a part-time role. What you bring Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with young children, staff, parents and the community. High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong IT skills with experience in TASS, SEQTA and Google Workspace software systems desirable. Outstanding personal presentation.Demonstrated capacity to maintain discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters. Ability to work as a team member. Qualifications Secondary: Higher School Certificate (or equivalent) Tertiary/TAFE or VET Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Event Management Licences: Driver’s Licence (Car) (not essential) Basic photography, videography and graphic design skills. Basic audio-visual knowledge is desirable to support our AV Technician for performances and events. The successful applicant will have Strong communication skills, with an ability to create engaging content. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks at once. Possess a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and the achievement of high standards. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, to exercise sound judgement and initiative in decision-making, to self-manage and prioritise own workload, to utilise analytical and logistical skills and forward planning and to work collegially as part of a team. Ability to work with little, or no supervision, and show initiative and enthusiasm. Ability to undertake manual handling and the physical requirements of the role. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a capacity to quickly develop authentic relationships. Demonstrate a commitment to supporting the Christian values, Anglican ethos and culture of the School.
