Senior Planning & Scheduling Specialist | Relocate to Perth TBH is a leading consulting firm specialising in high‑risk, large‑scale projects across the Asia-Pacific and Middle East. About the Opportunity As a Senior Consultant specialising in Planning & Scheduling, you will be based full‑time in Perth and will work collaboratively with both client and TBH teams on the delivery of complex construction and infrastructure programmes. Successful relocation to Perth will be required, and a relocation package will be offered. In this senior technical role, you will lead the development, integration, and ongoing management of project schedules from first principles based on construction drawings to project completion. Your expertise will validate third‑party schedules, mitigate project delays through active stakeholder engagement, and produce high‑quality planning documentation that drives project certainty. The role offers opportunity to contribute to defence projects and play a key part in supporting their successful delivery. Responsibilities Lead the implementation of project schedules and plans in alignment with client objectives and project milestones. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders through clear, professional communication. Provide mentorship and on‑the‑job guidance to junior team members, fostering a high‑performing team environment. Review, interpret, and analyse data from multiple sources and tailor reporting outputs to support project leadership and stakeholder decision‑making. Manage the end‑to‑end preparation of client‑facing deliverables, including detailed analysis, technical reports, and presentation material. Create, maintain, and analyse complex schedules using planning tools such as Primavera P6, producing clear reporting outputs tailored to stakeholder needs. Apply industry best‑practice planning and scheduling methodologies to identify and address project risks, constraints, and opportunities. Implement project controls best practices to overcome planning challenges and improve delivery outcomes. Support knowledge sharing and capability uplift through technical workshops and client training sessions when required. Champion continuous improvement and process innovation across planning and scheduling activities to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure all outputs meet the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and consistency, incorporating quality checks and feedback as part of standard delivery practice. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling roles. Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture or an equivalent discipline. Demonstrated understanding of planning, scheduling, and programming principles. In‑depth knowledge of construction standards and methodologies. High proficiency in planning and scheduling software, including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (Asta Powerproject also considered). Experience managing client needs and expectations, with strong communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and provide leadership in team management and support to junior employees. Developed understanding of project management methods and project control principles. Experience in defence projects is highly regarded. Previous consultancy experience is highly regarded.
