This unique dual‑role position combines high‑quality OT service delivery for NDIS participants with internal workplace health, safety, and return‑to‑work leadership for ICAH staff. About the Role You will operate across the following three key areas: 1. NDIS Participant Occupational Therapy Services Conduct Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA). Complete Assistive Technology (AT) assessments and comprehensive reports. Provide recommendations for home modifications and equipment. Deliver therapy, skill‑building, and daily living interventions. Support SIL/SDA assessments and documentation. Collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators, and ICAH's clinical team. 2. Staff Return-to‑Work (RTW) Support Assess staff functional abilities following injury or illness. Develop safe, individualised RTW plans for employees. Recommend suitable duties or modified tasks. Advise ICAH leadership on workplace adjustments to support recovery. Liaise with HR, managers, and treating providers to ensure safe, compliant processes. Promote injury prevention and safe work practices across the organisation. 3. Work Safe Officer Responsibilities Oversee workplace health and safety compliance in line with relevant state and federal legislation. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies for community‑based and in‑home care environments. Identify hazards and implement preventative measures to minimise workplace injuries. Investigate incidents, hazards, and near misses, and prepare clear incident reports. Maintain WHS documentation, including policies, procedures, and training records. Provide WHS training and guidance to staff regarding safe work practices. Support emergency and safety planning, including incident response processes. Monitor and evaluate safety performance and recommend continuous improvements. Collaborate with leadership to foster a strong and proactive safety culture across ICAH. About You AHPRA-registered with experience in community, disability, acute, or rehabilitation settings. Skilled in functional assessments and high‑quality report writing. Knowledgeable about NDIS frameworks and documentation requirements (highly regarded). Experienced or interested in workplace health & safety and return‑to‑work coordination. Basic workplace health and safety knowledge is required for the Work Safe Officer responsibilities. Confident working autonomously and managing a varied caseload.
