About the opportunity We’re searching for a passionate Barista to bring our brand-new Wellness Café in the Merrylands Community Wellness Centre to life This is a Part Time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 9am–2pm, perfect for someone who loves great coffee, good company, and making a difference every day. You’ll be the friendly face and warm heart of the café, crafting delicious drinks, sharing meaningful conversations, and helping create a space that nourishes both body and soul. This is more than a barista role, it’s about connection, community, and care. What you’ll be doing Deliver friendly, professional, and attentive service to all customers, including residents, families, staff, and community visitors. Engage respectfully with older adults, understanding their unique preferences and needs. Prepare and serve espresso coffee, tea, smoothies, and other café beverages to high quality standards. Prepare and serve light meals, snacks, and baked goods in accordance with food safety requirements. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards. Ensure compliance with WHS (Work Health and Safety) standards. Work closely with the Wellness and Allied Health teams to align the café offerings with broader wellbeing initiatives (e.g. healthy menu options, social connection activities).
