As an Aged or Disability Carer at Ark Services Australia Pty Ltd, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to older people and individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and medication while promoting dignity, comfort, and independence. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs. Assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating. Preparing meals, performing light housekeeping, and laundry tasks. Support residents with daily activities and encourage social engagement. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and the care team. Assist with medication reminders per care plans and basic health monitoring under delegation. Undertake tasks outside the home, such as shopping and organising travel. Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, family members, and support workers to ensure a holistic approach to care. Assist with medication reminders as per care plans. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community or Disability) or higher (or equivalent overseas qualification) or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4). 12 months full-time or equivalent part-time (at least 20 hours per week) or casual basis employment with proven experience is required in Aged / Disability Care Services. Previous experience in personal care, disability support, or a similar role is essential. A valid Australian driver’s license is required. Strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate, patient approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A valid National Police Check, Working with Children Check and other NDIS entry-level certificates are required. First Aid, Manual Handling and CPR Certificate is required.
