Base pay range A$160,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yr Part-time Head of Finance (3 days/week) Reports directly to business owners. South Yarra office location with car park; industry: architecture, design and construction. 3 days per week, strong pro‑rated remuneration package, start date in January 2026. TWH Advisory is a private business partnering with a related architecture, design and construction industry client to appoint a newly created Part‑time Head of Finance role. The organisation services customers predominantly in Melbourne and Sydney, delivering high‑spec products to premium residential and commercial property projects. We seek a commercial finance all‑rounder to work 3 days per week, complementing existing tax and advisory services. The role requires an intelligent, articulate professional capable of reporting directly to owners, getting hands‑deep in detail, and acting as a commercial business partner. About the role Responsibilities of the Part‑time Head of Finance will include, but are not limited to: Preparation of monthly financial accounts and periodic cash flow reports. Ownership of management accounting, including preparation of monthly management reports and variance analysis. Management of the AP and debtor processes. Coordinating regulatory lodgement requirements (BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, GST & Income Tax). Manage payroll compliance processes: award compliance, payroll tax, single‑touch payroll and WorkCover. Assist Directors with related party & inter‑company transactions. Assist with annual budgeting process. Management of insurance policies. About you To be successful in securing this role, you will possess: Full membership of CAANZ or CPA Australia. 10+ years of accounting experience, including work with business owners. Commercial and financial leadership experience within property or construction related businesses (highly regarded). Understanding of key business functions: project management, sales, procurement, health & safety. Resilience and application of change‑management principles to improve risk‑management frameworks, financial models and reporting standards. Highest standards of professionalism, integrity and ethics. Enthusiasm to work in a private business and influence owners directly. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport instantly. Experience with MYOB desirable.
