About The Role
Be accountable for delivering high-quality electrical designs, proactive engagement with URD clients, distribution authority stakeholders, and ensuring outcomes comply with technical standards set by the relevant electrical authorities, as well as applicable Australian Standards. You will be responsible for outcomes that meet customer requirements within agreed timeframes and budget constraints and for identifying and resolving issues impacting design, to ensure that client expectations are managed throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
As a URD Project Engineer, you will play an integral part in delivering project outcomes across a variety of projects including: Maintain proactive and transparent communication with customers by providing regular updates on project status, technical risks, approvals, and network authority review progress Obtain design approval from the relevant distribution network authority. Assume responsibility for the technical solution for the life of the project, from acceptance of the Fee Proposal to design approval. Support pre-sales and project initiation activities including reviewing fee proposals, liaising with the Project Support team to provide information for network applications and contracts and supporting new client presentations and/or company promotions. Define the scope of work and/or concept plan to ensure each project is initiated with the correct technical approach.
Regularly review project schedules, identifying risks and proactively undertake the necessary actions to eradicate schedule slippage. Monitor quality, ensuring the QA process is followed and all designs submitted are of the highest possible quality. Deliver timely, customer-focused design services Uphold our commitment to health, safety and environmental performance Degree qualified in electrical engineering. Minimum 2 years of experience in developing electrical designs for distribution network authority approval, up to 22kV.
Demonstrated experience in the use of electronic design systems including network GIS systems. A solid grasp of the project management discipline, capable of demonstrating the ability to simultaneously manage safety, scope, quality, schedule, and cost, for a given project.
