We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil / Structural Engineer to join our Brisbane team. This is a senior leadership role overseeing a team of approximately 12 engineers and designers, driving technical excellence and business growth across multi-disciplinary projects in the mining, resources, and infrastructure sectors. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Civil / Structural discipline across studies, detailed design, and execution phases. Mentor and develop a high-performing team, ensuring effective workload management and project delivery. Provide technical expertise and guidance on structural and civil design, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, client specifications, and legislative requirements. Collaborate with internal discipline leads, drafting teams, and external stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely outputs. Lead risk analysis, design reviews, and operability studies to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs. Support procurement and commissioning phases, including site visits as required. Drive business development initiatives, identify new opportunities, and contribute to proposals and bids. Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term partnerships and expand Wave's project portfolio. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and RPEQ accreditation (essential). 10+ years experience in civil and structural engineering, including leadership roles. Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering projects from concept to execution. Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills. Business development experience within mining, resources, or infrastructure sectors.
