April 26, 2024OverviewWe are currently recruiting a Technical Director - Environment to work for a global consultancy with a portfolio of projects across Energy, Transport, Buildings, Defence and Water.This role is only open to those who have delivered work in and reside in NSW. A willingness to engage in business development is required.
Location- SydneyDuration- PermanentSalary- Up to $250,000 + Super
Responsibilities
Support the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects through the provision of Environment and Sustainability principles, including impact assessments and approvals.Develop and implement comprehensive environmental and sustainability strategies for clients across various industries with a focus on the NSW Energy sectorManage the delivery of project commissions to provide clients with high quality service and value add, as well as identifying opportunities to increase value through additional offerings where appropriateCollaborate with clients to assess their current environmental performance and identify opportunities for improvementsStay up-to-date on environmental regulations, industry trends, and emerging sustainability practices to ensure clients are compliant and ahead of the curve.Mentoring team members within the environment teamManage subcontractors / sub-consultantsCollaborate with interstate team members to assist in work-winning / business development.
Required Experience
10+ years’ experience in Environment domain within NSW, with a focus on Energy including Renewables, Transmission + DistributionUnderstanding of GreenStar / ISC Ratings, and a deep knowledge of government legislation and requirements.Relevant degree / qualification e.g., Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Planning etcProven track record of business development / work-winning, paired with highly developed negotiation skills
