As a Vehicle Accessories Installer, you will be responsible for the correct, safe and high-quality installation of vehicle accessories on a variety of vehicles (trucks, utes, vans, fleet vehicles) including: LED lightbars and auxiliary lighting Beacons and warning lights Roof-rack systems and mounting frames UHF/CB radios and antennas Arrow boards / traffic control arrow signage Other related accessories such as sirens or dash cams as required You will work in the workshop environment of AWS (Hallam), collaborating with the production team, ensuring each job is completed to specification, meets regulatory requirements (for emergency & hazard vehicles) and delivered on schedule. A valid driver's licence is required for this position. Key Responsibilities Fit and wire lighting systems (LED lightbars, beacons, work-lights) onto vehicle roofs, trays, bullbars or structural frames, according to manufacturer instructions and AWS standards. Install roof rack systems, mounting brackets and associated hardware, ensuring secure fastening and correct alignment. Fit UHF / CB radios and antennas: determine optimal mounting location, run wiring harnesses, terminate connectors and test full functionality. Install traffic control arrow boards and associated signage equipment, ensuring correct mounting, wiring and regulation compliance. Work on both new and existing vehicles; may require removing old systems, modifying wiring looms or reinforcing frames/shells. Liaise with workshop staff, general manager and sales to ensure timely completion of each vehicle job. Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment; comply with WHS policies and safe working procedures. Document install work (photos, job cards, part numbers, wiring diagrams) and report any defects or modifications needed. A minimum of 1-2 years automotive or electrical installation experience is required. Valid Australian work rights are required for this position. Undertake other duties as assigned by the Executive Management Team. Key Requirements Experience: Previous experience in a mechanical, auto electrical is preferred. Technical Expertise: Ability to install a range of accessories. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on ensuring all work is completed safely and accurately.
