IWS a leading waste management company in South Australia. We work with a diverse range of customers from small businesses through to government agencies and large multi-national clients. We are currently seeking a MachineOperator to join our busy team at both our Wingfield & Southern Sites. About you: As an experienced Machine Operator, you will be responsible for undertaking duties associated with the day‑to‑day operations of the waste transfer station while maintaining a high level of customer service. Duties and responsibilities Control the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited by customers so to maximise resource recovery Operate onsite plant and equipment as required Direct traffic within the transfer station and provide general information to customers as required Maintain all buildings, grounds, roadways and landscaping in a clean and tidy condition at all times Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required Skills and responsibilities Current driver's licence Licensed to operator plant equipment (essential Front End Loader and Excavator) Experienced operating earth moving equipment, such as, but not limited to compactors, bulldozers, excavators, skid steers and loaders Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of the Transfer Station and associated equipment Mechanical aptitude Basic computer knowledge A strong commitment to safety What we offer: We look for candidates at both our Wingfield & Southern sites that have outstanding skills and abilities, as well as with experiences that fit with our business.
