The Role As the Event Funding Coordinator , you will play a key role in delivering the Northern Territory’s event funding programs, working within a small, high-performing team to support events and festivals that engage communities, attract visitors, and showcase the Territory. You’ll assess funding applications, manage agreements, monitor acquittals, and contribute to event evaluation and reporting. Your work will involve coordinating supported initiatives, developing marketing materials, and building strong relationships across the events sector. With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll also support data analysis, financial reporting, and process enhancements to ensure the program’s effectiveness and impact. About us Now operating as part of the newly established Tourism and Events NT, under the Department of Tourism and Hospitality, our team formerly known as NT Major Events has been delivering and supporting world-class events across the Northern Territory since 1999. We drive visitation, economic growth, and community pride through a diverse calendar of events. About you Proven experience administering funding or grant programs, including application assessment, compliance monitoring and payments Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data to support decision making Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing briefings, and stakeholder documentation. Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships across government, industry, and the events sector.
