Additional items regarding the role can be found in the position description. Collaborate with Mercy Hospitals Multicultural Services Team to assist in cultural appropriate patient care. Experience in interpreting in acute hospitals in Australia, including knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. What you'll bring You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient‑centred interpreting services. To thrive in this role, you will have skills and the ability to: Provide interpreting services at consultations with health professionals throughout the hospital and satellite clinics as requested. Maintain an accurate record of bookings, including cancellations and rescheduled appointments, and document the outcome of each service request. Liaise with the Interpreter Bookings Coordinator in relation to bookings. Evidence & Credentials You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
