DataBricks Developer – Contract – Sydney/Melbourne Urgent requirement for a DataBricks Developer (Contract, 6‑month duration with possible extension). Eligibility: Australian/NZ Citizens or PR holders only. Responsibilities Design and develop ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Optimize and maintain data workflows to ensure quality and integrity. Performance tuning and monitoring. Data modelling and Power BI semantic modelling. Notebook development using Python, SQL, and/or PySpark. Implement best practices for data engineering, governance, and security. Provide on‑call troubleshooting support and help groom new team members. Identify problem areas and offer solutions. Prepare and contribute to knowledge‑base building. Qualifications / Good to have Extensive experience with Databricks Lakehouse pipelines. Strong knowledge of Spark and other big‑data technologies. Excellent coding skills in SQL and Python. Strong background in Azure Cloud solutions, especially ADF development. Proficiency in data modelling. On‑call troubleshooting experience. Contract Details Duration: 6 months (possible extension). Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia.
