Role Description Located at our iron ore mining and haulage operations in the Yandicoogina region (Pilbara), the Haul / Dump Truck Operator role is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of Dump Trucks on the mine site, and the actions of the Haul / Dump Truck Operator directly contribute to the overall production goals of the Mining Department. Role Requirements Operate the Haul Truck in a safe and efficient manner in line with site specific procedures and priority rules. Ensure that all loads are collected and dumped at the correct stockpiles. Conduct daily pre-start checks of the Haul Trucks prior to operating. Demonstrated commitment to safety, ensuring safe and effective operation of equipment. Assist with other machinery operations as required. Operate on a dayshift, nightshift roster. Minimum of 12 months prior experience operating on a mine site with production mining experience on Dump Trucks CAT785 and / or CAT789. RIIMPO338E Conduct rigid haul truck operations and / or RIIMPO337E Conduct articulated haul truck operations. Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence (HR preferred). CPCWHS Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (Construction "White card"). Skills Required Flexible and versatile attitude. Strong understanding of mining operations and production targets. Physically mobile with a good fitness level. Ability to carry out work instructions and directives to provide satisfactory outcomes. Ability to work within a team environment to achieve desired results. Excellent safety awareness with good housekeeping habits. Current MRL, RTIO and / or BHP induction status. CPPFES Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment. Additional Certifications RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights. RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces. MSMWHS217 – Gas test atmospheres. 4WD / Defensive Driving (such as RIIVEH305F : Operate and Maintain a 4WD Vehicle, RIIVEH201E : Operate a Light Vehicle). TLIC Operate commercial vehicle. Additional Requirements Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screen. Hold, or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance valid within 12 months.
