About the role Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities? BRAMS is offering an exciting traineeship opportunity to become a Tackling Indigenous Smoking Trainee while completing your Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care , fully funded by BRAMS. As a TIS Trainee, you'll work within a dedicated team to support the delivery of programs aimed at reducing tobacco smoking rates among Aboriginal people in the Broome region. Under supervision, you'll help plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based smoking prevention and cessation initiatives while engaging with the community to promote healthier lifestyles. This is an incredible chance to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and contribute to improving community health outcomes while working toward becoming a qualified Aboriginal Health Worker. Key responsibilities Assist in planning and delivering smoking cessation and prevention initiatives. Engage with community members and stakeholders to identify health priorities. Participate in health promotion events and activities tailored to the local community. Complete the Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care as part of your traineeship. Receive mentoring and support to build your skills and knowledge. About you We are looking for individuals who are committed to making a difference in their community.
