Job Description A Spare Parts Interpreter determines customer requirements and will provide advice on a product, price, delivery, warranties and product use and care. They deal directly with trade related and retail customers over the phone, via email and over the counter. They identify parts using online catalogues, processing and preparing sales orders, and receiving and distributing orders. They assist with stock control while maintaining a tidy organised workspace. Prior experience is a bonus, however, trainee roles can become available to the right candidate. Qualifications & Attributes Neat, tidy and professional in personal presentation and work area. Punctual Honest, diligent and motivated work ethic. High level of customer service skills, with a can do attitude. The ability to multitask and work under pressure. Knowledge and interest in motor vehicles. Problem solving capabilities. Communication skills - ability to communicate with your team and customers in a polite and professional manner. Capacity to work in a team environment and support other team members. Proficiency in computer based parts catalogues. Knowledge of OSCAR desirable, but not essential. Proficiency in Pronto Xi data base desirable, but not essential. Tasks & responsibilities Accountability for the processing of spare parts departmental sales, both retail and internal. Support the spare parts team leader in clerical and support tasks as directed. Handle telephone transactions competently and courteously. Assist customers with the determination of parts and accessories requirements. Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean and appealing to customers. Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service. Other duties as assigned.
