Deputy Test Lead Exciting opportunity for a Deputy Test Lead ACT Location, some remote flexibility Must hold a Baseline Security Clearance The Client Our Client is a department of the Government of Australia charged with the responsibility to defend Australia and its national interests. The Role The Enterprise Resource Planning Program requires a Deputy Test Lead with experience in assuring testing of functional process requirements within high‑performing, scalable enterprise ICT functional solution in large, complex organisation. The resource must have testing knowledge and experience in the complex SAP S4HANA. The Deputy Test Lead must have demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Defence ERP Program's drivers and requirements and have the capacity to accommodate the demands of one of the largest ICT projects undertaken by the Australian Defence. The Deputy Test Lead will utilise previous Testing SAP Solution experience and knowledge to support the Test Lead by providing system testing support, advice and guidance relating to the systems introduced by the ERP Program, as well as recommendations to assist in the effective implementation of future systems of the Defence ERP solution including but not limited to : Responsibilities Support standardisation of testing methodologies, tools and technique / approach supporting Delivery Leadership to plan, coordinate and support across the Program Phase cycles to ensure all testing activities including coverage of business processes and variants within processes is achieved. Support other areas of the Program and relevant stakeholders in understanding and aligning of ERP project methodologies, planning, solution outcomes and delivery of the scope across Program. Encompass Delivery Leadership accountabilities, across the multiple Release Program lifecycle by providing governance and assurance within the testing environment, including : Oversight and assurance of testing activities by measuring and monitoring applications of standards for testing, test cases and test scenarios with traceability. Collate, analyse and report on any issues and deficiencies. Drive solution testing overall risk, assumptions, dependencies, decision, issues and change ensuring solutions to problems are implemented in line approved Program methodologies. Responsible for assuring the related testing requirements of ERP Program enterprise component across Tranches 1 and 3, ensuring outcomes are aligned to Test quality outcomes, stakeholder requirements, program schedule by balancing the quality of proposed testing approach with ERP Program design principles and governance framework. Provide SAP Enterprise specialist advice and project management including people management ensuring transparency, collaboration and alignment with endorsed Program methods, tools and techniques supporting a high level of testing quality across the lifecycle and associated deliverables / work products are fit for purpose. Constructively challenge, whilst maintaining strong positive relationships with SIs and provide assurance overall Tranche 1 and Tranche 3 Release test planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities requirements. Support the Test lead and Solution Delivery Testing team for the remainder of Tranche 1 and future Tranches to ensure SAP best practice end‑to‑end processes testing solution outcomes and leverage ERP delivery experience and insight to identify opportunities and challenges in program delivery plans, SAP solution expertise to help guide Defence to optimum Program outcomes. Skills and Experience 8+ years' experience in ICT ERP Program ERP SAP transformation testing environment. 8+ years University degree experience in ICT project management and / or minimum 8 years of proven team leadership experience with ability to think laterally and take the initiative to drive activities to completion. Familiarity with Testing and processing in the Defence environment to support Test and Evaluation processes and policy within the context of the Defence Test and Evaluation Competency Framework. Demonstrated deep understanding of Test SAP Best Practice business processes and optimised SAP solution design from an end user perspective as well demonstrated testing best practice that optimizes the end user experience. It is essential that this resource has worked extensively within the SAP Testing domain and has strong communication skills enabling a clear description of the solution to key business stakeholders.
