As a Graduate Forensic Scientist with Forensic Science Queensland , you’ll help deliver trusted scientific services that support the justice system. These positions are part of the Queensland Government's Law and Justice Graduate Program , providing a structured learning pathway that includes technical training, mentoring, and development opportunities across the public sector. What you’ll do Conduct research and laboratory analysis to support forensic casework. Write technical documents, reports, briefing notes and correspondence. Assist in the preparation of forensic case files and maintain evidence continuity. Work with investigators, scientists, legal professionals and other stakeholders. We’re seeking graduates who can demonstrate Commitment to public service – motivated to use science to serve the community. Scientific and analytical capability – able to think critically and communicate clearly. Adaptability and resilience – able to learn quickly and manage sensitive content. Teamwork and inclusion – collaborative, respectful and supportive of diversity. Qualifications and conditions Have completed a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a science discipline within the last two years. Hold unrestricted working rights in Australia before commencement. Meet health and vaccination requirements. Complete employment screening and disclosure checks. Successful applicants will also need to provide a DNA reference sample upon commencement.
