Job Title: Head Chef – Whitelakes Brewing Location: Baldivis, WA (1441 Mandurah Road) About Whitelakes Brewing Join our crew at Whitelakes Brewing — perched on the edge of the stunning Lake Walyungup in Baldivis, we launched in 2016 and have built a reputation for craft, quality and local love.Our ethos? Craft beers made with care, grounded in this unique WA landscape and a taproom / brewhouse experience where people come to relax, explore and share a great meal with an extensive beverage range not just limited to our own.After 2 years of renovations we’re now preparing to reopen for Easter 2026 and are looking to build up our kitchen offering starting with the appointment of a Head Chef who’s keen to be part of the story. The Role Prepare, cook and present fresh, seasonal menu items in a taproom/brewhouse environment (lunch & dinner service) Work alongside the beverage team so the food genuinely complements our local-craft beer offering but we are not looking to be just another cliché taproom Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, safety & guest presentation Assist in menu-development: seasonal specials, beer-pairing dishes, tapping into the Whitelakes story and local produce Be part of building something: as we revamp and relaunch aspects of the venue (see recent renovations) you’ll help shape the kitchen’s role in the guest experience Be comfortable with a shift-roster that may include weekends, late service, social environment (taproom, beer garden) We’re Looking For Someone Who Has: At least 2+ years’ experience in a commercial kitchen (restaurant, pub, brewery or winery) A strong interest in craft beer & hospitality – you’ll be working side‑by‑side in a brewery environment, not just a standard restaurant A positive, flexible attitude and ability to thrive in a team‑oriented, guest‑centric, fun environment A creative mindset with willingness to experiment and help develop menu items aligned with craft‑beer culture (Desirable) Certificate II/III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, food‑safety certification What We Offer You: A chance to join a growing craft‑brewery with strong local reputation (Whitelakes was recently awarded WA Champion Medium Brewery) Above‑award pay (depending on experience), staff discounts on food & Whitelakes beer A relaxed yet dynamic work environment — brewery + taproom + large outdoor deck overlooking lake views — a special spot in the Perth region.
