SLR Services Pty Ltd T / A SLR Autocare & Battery Service, based in Moolap, VIC is a vehicle service and repair business. Currently, we have a vacancy for a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic. This is a full‑time role. Please apply for this role if you have the experience and skills. Eligibility Requirements AQF Certificate III with 3 years of on‑job experience or Certificate IV. At least 3 years of work experience in same role. Full‑time working rights in Australia. Main Duties Conduct thorough inspections of lightweight vehicles in the workshop to identify mechanical faults and assess the required repairs. Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil and fluid changes, filter replacements, and routine checks, in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Check and bleed brake system, replace brake pads, discs, calliper, brake lines etc. Inspect and replace suspension components e.g. shockers, bushes, spring etc. Check for operation of all electric components e.g. – all lights, wipers, signs, horn, fuses etc. Operate advanced computerized diagnostic tools to pinpoint issues in petrol engines and other mechanical systems of vehicles. Conduct detailed inspections and road tests of vehicles after repairs or servicing to confirm they meet safety and roadworthiness standards. Discuss problems with car owners / drivers to find faults, listen to engines, clarify specific needs of the clients, take notes in writing and contact clients if any problem arises other than specified. Work as a team with other mechanics when teamwork is required. Checks remove and replace tyres and tubes, fit new tubes, repair punctures. Clean floor and workplace area. Maintain hygiene.
