Who You Are: Our team is seeking a talented thumbnail designer for Milo and Chip Minecraft videos that can replicate this exact style. You must know what makes a good design and are able to help bring thumbnails to life by following brief instructions, keeping up to date with the latest trends, and having knowledge/experience of Minecraft. Your Responsibilities and Skills: Thumbnail Conceptualization: Develop creative concepts for thumbnails that effectively convey the content and message of the video in collaboration with content creators, including specialized Minecraft thumbnails in the Milo and Chip style following brief/design instructions. Visual Optimization: Create visually engaging thumbnails optimized for various devices and screen sizes, utilizing graphic design software. Text Integration: Incorporate legible text elements such as titles, captions, and call-to-action phrases into thumbnail designs. Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency with the channel's branding guidelines, including color schemes, fonts, and logo placement. Testing and Analysis: Be able to create different variations of thumbnails and contribute to A/B testing. Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in thumbnail design and YouTube optimization. Feedback Integration: Efficiently implement and onboard feedback for all thumbnail designs, iterating on designs to align with branding and content objectives. Coordination with Packaging Team: Coordinate with the thumbnail packaging team to ensure designs align with overall branding and packaging strategies. Team Collaboration: Share ideas, feedback, and assets with team members to collectively contribute to the success of thumbnail designs. Communication Utilization: Utilize communication tools such as Monday.com and Discord to collaborate with the team, input designs, and coordinate effectively. Time Management: Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality thumbnails in a timely manner while continually striving to improve the quality of work and internal skills. Requirements: Have 1-2+ years of experience creating IRL thumbnails and using Photoshop. Understand visual design principles for thumbnails, including composition and color theory. Provide a portfolio or previous experience demonstrating proficiency in creating various thumbnail styles. Possess strong communication skills and accountability when working with team members. Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changes when necessary. Able to understand and implement feedback to improve thumbnail quality. Flexible in adjusting to changes in deadlines and creating emergency thumbnails. Knowledgeable about creating realistic-looking thumbnails. Always looking to improve skills and the quality of work. Preferable Additional Skills: Worked with major competitors in this niche previously (Maizen, Cash, etc.) Understanding English significantly helps but isn’t mandatory.
