Employment Details Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Hours per fortnight: 64 Req Id: 6714 About the Role As a Family Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in optimising each Young Person’s care planning by ensuring they receive comprehensive, interdisciplinary assessments and a truly consumer‑centred, goal‑directed model of care. You will lead service development initiatives within the team, support staff to integrate care effectively, and work closely with families and caregivers to strengthen engagement and achieve the best possible outcomes for the Young People in our service. About the Facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. Barwon Health is partnering with the Department of Justice and Community Safety to provide health care services at the new Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre, a 140 bed facility to the west of Werribee. The services include emergency response, primary care beds, integrated mental health, drug and alcohol services, allied health, general practice and specialist medical care as required. There will be 24/7 nursing coverage on site as well as a 7‑day primary care clinic. Diagnostic and pharmacy services are also available onsite. The care will be integrated and operate from a state‑of‑the‑art purpose‑built health facility, ensuring best practice culture, processes and operations to enhance outcomes for young people.
