Responsibilities Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Work closely with team members to assist with the month‑end close. Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes. Research and analyse expense variances for company management. Using a proactive approach, work closely on executing end‑to‑end processing with significant accounts (50M investment clients) to improve their situation. The Role As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients and manage the full spectrum of tax, compliance and financial advisory services. Key Responsibilities Include: Managing end‑to‑end client accounting for medium/large accounts. Preparing financial statements, income tax returns, and FBT. Handling end‑to‑end processing and working on all tax matters including trusts, losses, sale of business, Division 296, and Division 7A as well as more complex matters. Providing high‑quality client service and maintaining strong relationships to help them with their tax matters. Reviewing work prepared by junior staff (if applicable). Supporting advisory and growth opportunities within client portfolios. About You CA or CPA qualification (completed). Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role within an Australian mid‑tier public practice firm. Strong technical skills across all areas of business accounting and tax. Experience managing end‑to‑end client engagements. Confidence working with complex structures including trusts.
